My approach to teaching was refined during my time instructing live photography classes, to over 3,000 students. I learned that while camera gear is fun, the true secret to a great photo isn't an expensive camera or smartphone —it's understanding light, mastering your settings, and learning to see the world differently, and reminding my students that the best camera is the one they have with them to capture the picture.
